Office Relief is a U.S.-based furniture company specializing in chairs. As a growing organization, the company focuses on managing product operations and order workflows across its eCommerce setup. They required a more controlled and cost-conscious way to handle integrations without relying on third-party automation platforms.
Office Relief relied on Celigo for managing integration workflows, but recurring licensing costs became difficult to justify. The team needed a way to maintain automation while reducing ongoing expenses and gaining more control over how workflows were executed and maintained internally.
Celigo licensing added a consistent financial burden. Over time, these recurring charges reduced operational flexibility and made it harder to manage integration costs within a growing business structure.
The dependency on a third-party platform restricted their ability to control expenses. Pricing structures were fixed, leaving little room to adjust costs based on actual usage or business needs.
Relying on Celigo meant workflows were tied to an external system. This limited their ability to directly manage or customize integrations according to evolving operational requirements.

They needed a partner who could reduce recurring expenses while maintaining existing automation capabilities.

Folio3 demonstrated strong experience working with BigCommerce APIs and custom workflow handling.

They preferred a tailored system that fits their operations instead of relying on fixed third-party tools.

We built a dedicated middleware layer using Next.js that directly connects with BigCommerce APIs to manage workflow execution. This system replaced the need for Celigo by handling integration logic internally. It allowed Office Relief to run their operations without relying on third-party licensing while maintaining control over how workflows are structured, executed, and monitored across their eCommerce environment.

The middleware was designed to automate key processes previously handled by Celigo. Instead of manual intervention or external tooling, workflows now run through structured API-based triggers and actions. This setup ensures consistent data handling, reduces dependency on outside systems, and allows the internal team to manage operations more directly with predictable execution across tasks.

By removing Celigo from the stack, we eliminated recurring subscription costs tied to integration workflows. The middleware handles the same responsibilities without ongoing licensing fees. This shift gives Office Relief a more predictable cost structure while keeping automation intact and aligned with their operational needs.
